Masonry and Concrete Renovation
Total Wall Concept
Total Wall Concept is used for repairing cracked brickwork and strengthening a façade. The Helifix system enables nearly invisible structural repairs to be carried out.
The system is simple and fast to use, without much inconvenience. After joints are raked out, a helix-shaped stainless steel reinforcement rod called the HeliBar is secured in the opening or rut using a two-component cementitious adhesive, after which the repairs are filled in. This ensures building frontages are completely stabilised without any visible repair work. In addition to the HeliBar, the TWC masonry repair system includes several other variations, such as the Dryfix, which uses a stainless steel rod as a (cavity) wall tie. The Helifix system is cost-saving, as there are fewer man-hours needed to complete the repair work. Just as important as the cost aspect are the improved end results, thanks to the building’s elasticity being preserved through the ‘spring’ reinforcement.
