Grants and subsidies

There are currently many initiatives designed to stimulate energy-saving measures. This includes insulation and especially cavity wall insulation. Normally, grants and subsidies can be obtained through your local authority.
Unfortunately, there is no central subsidy policy as yet and every local authority and province maintains its own regulations for insulation grants and subsidies, which usually means that when the money’s gone, it’s gone. Naturally, we can help you examine if there are any grants or subsidies available for your cavity wall insulation.

Tax concessions on insulation

If you insulate your property, the low VAT rate of 6% (instead of 19%) is calculated and added to the total cost. This only applies if your home is more than two years old. Low VAT rates are always applied to the labour costs. Are the material costs less than half the labour costs? Then the low VAT rate also applies to the material costs.
